Mild Hybrid Vehicles

Hybrid CarsA hybrid car is simply a car that uses two or more forms of power, in an outstanding way to improve upon fuel economy and top the list of the latest automotive technology. Mild hybrid car however is not a kind of hybrid car infact it’s a conventional fossil-fuel vehicle that has extra-large starter motors which enables the engine to turn off whenever the car is coasting, braking, or stopped. It also resumes speedily when you begin to drive.

There are sub categories of mild hybrid vehicles which are as follows. They even pass emission standards specified by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
1. Low emission vehicles (LEV)
A low emission vehicle is a vehicle that releases comparatively low levels of air pollutants. The term seems to be generic, but in some countries it is defined in law.

2. Ultra low-emission vehicles (ULEV)
An ultra low emission vehicle is a vehicle that releases remarkably low levels of air pollutants in comparison to other vehicles. The term seems to be generic, but in some countries it is defined in law.
Example of vehicles transporting ULEV emissions act include Honda Accord.

3. Super-Ultra low-emission vehicles SULEV
Super ultra low emission vehicle is a U.S. categorization for traditionally powered or gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle

Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Hybrid VehicleA hybrid vehicle (HV) is a type of vehicle that uses a blend of power or fuel sources. The vehicle actually uses different types of energy in addition to the traditional gasoline. The hybrid car also runs on gas and electric power. Often the term ‘Hybrid Vehicles’ refers to

Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) which unite an internal combustion engine with one or more electric motors. The most apparent benefit what HEVs serves is the lesser environmental impact. A vehicle that's powered only by electricity produces almost no emissions; that certainly means that a car can drive any distance without emitting any greenhouse gases. However, the rate of emission can be increased when the vehicle is switched to gasoline engine, conversely it also can be cut down by 50% when the vehicle is powered by electricity 50% of the time. Another benefit of HEV is that it runs on a fuel source that is locally available and does not rely on overseas oil. Moreover, the power of an electric car is directly related to the power of the battery. The mainstream of hybrid vehicles in market today has batteries that can be plugged in and recharged; an adaptor permits most hybrid holders to "fuel up" their vehicles at home.

Over the period of time technologies are involved in making hybrid cars and are coming up with constant improvements. The major car companies globally are currently in rock-hard race to produce hybrid cars on a large scale. Japan's Honda and Toyota corps are undeniably market heads in the race to power the hybrid car market not only in Japan but also in US and many other countries from all over the world.
